Casa di Luce

In this interior renovation for a stately home in Rosedale, the new owners wanted to maintain aspects of both the original house and the early 90’s renovation, yet wanted to increase the daylight throughout. Requiring two master suites for two generations of this blended family, the upper floors were divided between the suites and guest amenity while the lower level was maintained as the shared family and entertaining floor. At the entry, which boasts a unique 1990’s three-story atrium ringed with planters, we added a wood handrail and accented the height with a new blown glass chandelier. At the garden side, we added a spiral stair to connect the second floor master suite to the main living space. Every space in the house is flooded with light – earning the name Casa di Luce.
